Investments of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is a state enterprise under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. Its mission is to promote tourism in Thailand, with a primary responsibility for marketing, particularly in encouraging both international and domestic tourists to visit Thailand. The aim is to generate sustainable and continuous revenue for the country, thereby driving national economic and social development.
To further support the growth of Thai tourism, TAT has undertaken investment and joint ventures within the scope of its objectives as stipulated in Section 8 (5), Section 9 (7), and Section 17 (5) of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Act, B.E. 2522 (1979), and the Amendment (No. 2), B.E. 2550 (2007).
Accordingly, TAT has invested in three tourism-related enterprises, established in the form of companies or joint ventures, with a total investment of THB 730.3 million. The details are as follows:
